Submit the Policy Order
Before you can submit your order, mandatory information is required in your RealtiWeb file. This includes:
- Client Names entered in full
- Property information (address, legal description, etc.)
- Closing Date
- Contract Price
- New mortgages to be included in the policy (include Lender, mortgage amount and mortgage position)
- If any assumed mortgages, include Lender, mortgage amount and mortgage position
Submitting the Order
Click on the Submit button to begin your order. If any mandatory information is missing, a message will show you which fields are required before proceeding.
The
Submit button opens the FCT Title Insurance application. If you have followed the steps to
configure your user profile, you will be able to enter any additional details related to your deal before ordering the policy. Otherwise, a message will ask you to set up your profile.
Your order will be opened with the information from your RealtiWeb file automatically entered into the order. Complete any missing information and submit the order. Only close the window after you’ve completed the previous step.
If you request a quote from FCT, the quoted premium will be brought into your RealtiWeb file. When the order is completed, the quoted premium will be replaced with the actual premium.
After your order is placed or a quote is requested in the FCT Title Insurance application, the Title Insurance screen is updated to display information specific to this order.
Note: While a First Canadian Title Policy is in the process of being ordered or is ordered, the Responsible Lawyer on the file will be locked. If you require changing the lawyer, cancel the ordered policy, update who the responsible lawyer is and restart the policy order.
Policies
When a policy is ordered, the Policy Numbers are broken out by Owner and Lender Policies when applicable. The Policy Number field, used in some RealtiWeb documents, combines them into a single field.
Premium Summary
The amounts for Premium and PST on Premium are displayed.

If the Order Status displayed isn’t Completed, you can click on the refresh icon to retrieve the status. Any modifications to the order will update the information in your RealtiWeb file.
