Configure your RealtiWeb Account to Order Title Insurance

You can order title insurance from Chicago Title, Stewart Title, First Canadian Title, or TitlePLUS Title Insurance (availability varies across the country). Below are instructions on how to set up the connectivity in RealtiWeb with your title insurance providers.

Chicago Title

To connect RealtiWeb with Chicago Title, you need an account with Chicago Title. If you don’t have one, please register with them directly. If you have any questions contact Chicago Title.

If you have an account (and are not a lawyer or notary), follow the below steps:
  1. Go to your User Settings under the Tools menu in RealtiWeb.
  2. Confirm your name, phone number and email are the same as what’s associated with your Chicago Title account. If not, change the information to reflect your Chicago Title account and save.
  3. Enter anything that’s missing and save your changes.

For Lawyers and BC Notaries

If you have been notified by us that you’ve been setup for Chicago Title:
  1. Go to your User Settings under the Tools menu in RealtiWeb.
  2. Check off the “I’m a lawyer use my lawyer credentials” checkbox. Then save.
A Note for Ontario Lawyers
If you’re accessing RealtiWeb with your LSO login, register for an LDD account at ldd.ca/signup. When you submit the signed form, tell us you want to switch to an LDD account. We’ll look after moving your files, custom documents and more to the new LDD account.

Stewart Title

To order Stewart Title insurance, you need an account with them. If you do not have an account contact Stewart Title Software Support at 1-866-969-9101 for assistance.

Once you have an account, speak with your Business Development Manager for a Stewart Title Profile ID. This number is specific to each lawyer and is entered in the lawyer's record by someone at your firm with administrator access following this steps:
  1. Log into your account (that has administrator access).
  2. Click Lawyer & Notary Management.
  3. Modify each lawyer/notary by adding their specific Stewart Title Profile ID.
If you receive an error message when attempting to order, please contact your Business Development Manager or Software Support at 1-866-969-9101 for assistance.

First Canadian Title

To connect RealtiWeb with First Canadian Title, you need an account with FCT.

If you have an FCT account, follow these steps:
  1. Go to your User Settings under the Tools menu in RealtiWeb.
  2. Enter your Username and Password, then save.
If you’re accessing RealtiWeb with your LSO login, save your FCT credentials under Lawyer Settings in the Tools menu.

For Lawyers and BC Notaries

If you're a lawyer or notary who will be ordering FCT insurance policies through RealtiWeb, follow these steps:
  1. Log into your account (that has administrator access).
  2. Click Lawyer & Notary Management.
  3. Enter your Lawyer/Notary Profile to enter your FCT credentials.
  4. Click Validate and save your Lawyer/Notary Profile.
  5. Enter RealtiWeb and go to your User Settings under the Tools menu.
  6. Identify that you're a lawyer/notary for FCT, then save.
Every person at the firm has to enter their credentials into their Lawyer/Notary Profile and/or User Settings. If someone tries to save credentials that are already saved under someone else at the firm, a message will appear explaining that the save did not happen.

TitlePLUS Title Insurance

To order TitlePLUS title policies through RealtiWeb, you need an account with TitlePLUS Title Insurance. If you’re an Ontario lawyer, login here. Everyone else (including clerks) should sign up for an account. To allow clerks to access deals, lawyers will need to authorize their access. For help, contact TitlePLUS Title Insurance directly.

After registering with TitlePLUS Title Insurance, ensure you’ve been added as a lawyer on your LDD account with your Law Society Number.
  1. Log into your LDD account (with administrator rights).
  2. Click Lawyer & Notary Management.
  3. Search for your name and click the pencil. If it’s not there, add yourself as a lawyer using the Add.
  4. Check to see if there’s a Law Society Number entered. If it’s not there, enter it and save.
Any file that lists you as the Responsible Lawyer can be used with TitlePLUS Title Insurance.
