Adding Client Identification Verification Information

Adding Client Identification Verification Information

To add Client ID verification information, navigate to the Basic screen under the Contract heading. Then, scroll down to your client's name and information under the Transferee(s), Transferor(s) or Mortgagor(s) heading (depending on the file type).

For assistance with the Basic screen refer to the appropriate article: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan

After adding your client(s) to the file, you can add their identification into the system by clicking the ID Verification link. After clicking the ID Verification link, the Identification Verification Information popup will appear. This popup lists all the individuals listed in the file (purchaser(s)/vendor(s)/mortgagor(s))  including any signing officers, guarantor(s), etc.  for both individuals and corporations.

Follow these steps to add applicable identification for individuals into your file:
  1. The Birth Date will pre-populate provided you have entered it under your client details.
  2. Enter the Occupation(s) for each person.
  3. Enter the date the individual’s identification was verified under Verification Date.
  4. If your client uses a Pseudonym, it can entered here.
  5. If a mortgage is in your transaction, you can use either the Single Process Method or Dual Process Method for ID verification.
    1. Single Process Method:
      1. By default this method is already expanded.
      2. Enter the Type of Identification (use the list button to select commonly used documents) and applicable information regarding the ID. If you want to add more than two pieces of ID, click the Add New button to add more IDs.
    2. Dual Process Method:
      1. Click the chevron icon beside the Dual Process Method to expand the section.
      2. Use the list button beside the ID type to select commonly used documents and complete the applicable information regarding the ID. If you want to add more than two pieces of ID, click the Add New button to add more IDs.
If you have a corporation as a client, the Corporate Information section will show underneath the Individual Information section. Fill in the applicable fields (for example Type of Entity, Reg #, Type of Record referred to, and Source of Electronic Version) to identify the corporation.

At the top of the screen, Documents are available for Client Identification Information:
  1. Bank Forms - Identification Verification Form - PDF will provide you with the Lenders specific document (if available).
  2. Client Identification Information is an LDD source document that you may use for your file if there is no mortgage.
