Using Standard WillPowerWeb Templates & Creating Your Own Templates

During the file creation process, you can select one of WillPowerWeb’s standard Will templates by clicking on the Template field on the File Creation screen.

The following options are available:
  • Married/Common Law Couple - Residue Equally Distributed to Adult Children
  • Married/Common Law Couple - Residue Equally Distributed to Minor Children
  • Married/Common Law Couple - Residue Not Equally Distributed to Children
  • Married/Common Law Couple - Residue to Named Individuals
  • Millars - Married/Common Law Couple - Residue Equally Distributed to Adult Children
  • Single Person - Residue Equally Distributed to Adult Children
  • Single Person - Residue Equally Distributed to Minor Children
  • Single Person - Residue Not Equally Distributed Children
  • Single Person - Residue to Named Individuals

Alternatively, you can use a blank template and build a Will clause-by-clause.

Creating Your Own Template in WillPowerWeb

You can create your own Will Template in WillPowerWeb by performing the following steps: 
  1. Create a Will file, leaving the Template field blank. Input a File Number and press Continue.  
  2. Once the file has been created and opened, navigate to the Will/POA/Codocil Screen. 
  3. Build the Will template as you would like it to appear in your files. Check out this article for more information on how to create a Will in WillPowerWeb.   
  4. Click the down arrow on the Will/POA/Codicil tab, and select Save Template. Enter a template name and press Save.  
  5. The template is now saved and can be selected in the Template field on the file creation screen the next time you open a new file.
