Adding a Lender

Adding a Lender

We try to keep our lender database updated with most of the major lenders in your Province. However, you may need to add a lender that does not appear on our standard list.

To add a lender, navigate to the Mortgages screen. Click the selection icon next to the Lender field to open the Lender Database. To add a lender, press the + Lender on the first row of the database (entitled “Miscellaneous and Private Lenders”). A pop-up window will appear where you can add information about your new lender, notably the Lender name, main branch information, as well mailing and service addresses.

You can also optionally select a Lawyer as Contact from the Lawyer Database, by clicking on the blue link below Lender Name

To save your new lender entry, scroll to the top of the pop-up window and press Save. To select the lender for your file, select it from the list in Miscellaneous and Private Lenders.

Adding a Private Lender: Additional Considerations

If you are adding a Private Lender, you will need to complete two additional steps further to those outlined above. First, under the Lender Name field, click the Yes radio button next to Private Lender. By indicating that the new entry is for a Private Lender when selected, additional private lender schedules and documents may appear on the mortgage screen. Second, you can optionally specify a name of a spouse not on the title in the Not On Title field.
