Setting Up a Document Template
Navigate to Document Templates (general) under Tools in RealtiWeb. When the list of document templates appears onscreen, select the Edit icon next to the document template that you would like to edit. The Setup Document Template screen will open.
The Setup Document Template screen has two main sections:
- Document Template: This section is where you select your Template preferences for Letterhead, Date, Reline, Signature block choice or you can select to ‘do not include’ or create your own ‘custom’ entry. Once you begin editing your Master documents these defaults can be overridden, if necessary. Document Templates can be changed for all document types (ie. Affidavit, Envelope, Fax, Letter, Memo, Multi Party, One Party (Combined), One Party (Simple), Statutory Declaration). The section has three main subsections:
- Document Formatting: The first field under the Document Template header allows you to adjust the document formatting. Select the [...] to see the list of formatting options, and click on one to select it.
- Pre-Document Body: This section allows you to adjust the presentation and content of the Document template pre-body.
- Post Document Body: This section allows you to adjust the presentation and content of the Document template post-body.
Note: Pre-body and Post-body content and settings for a document template can be overridden for individual master documents which use the template. Check out this article for more information about editing Pre-Body and Post-Body content in Master documents.
- Template Specific Details: This section is for setting the template's font, size, page dimensions, spacing, margins etc. Note that document margins can be adjusted individually for both the 1st page and subsequent pages, by clicking the down arrow next to each of their respective headings in this section.
