Property Transfer Tax Information & Exemptions (BC)
PTT
This tab allows you to complete the Property Tax Form including any refund or rebate your clients are entitled to. You can complete your PTT Form by checking off the applicable checkboxes and editing the transferor and transferee details. Check out this article for information on PTT upload through myLTSA Web Filing.
PTT Exemptions / Additional PTT
If your clients are first time home buyers and entitled to PTT exemptions, check off the First Time Home Buyer checkbox on the Purchaser Information screen (located under the Basic → Basic Information tab). This will result in additional fields emerging for the collection of information related to the PTT.
Note: RealtiWeb assumes equal ownership. Click Edit unequal % ownership for PTT to change percentage of ownership.
Similarly, if your clients are non-residents and additional PTT is applicable, that will also impact the calculations for the PTT payable. If a buyer is a non-Canadian citizen in Basic tab, the “Additional PTT payable?” checkbox will be activated and a basic Additional PTT calculation will be included in the calculations.
