Note on Docket ID/Name, LRO and Search Activity

There are a few features that apply to both the Title and Writ Searches. This article covers how the searches are setup and how the activities are able to be reviewed at a later date in each RealtiWeb file.

Docket ID and Docket Name

The Docket ID comes from your RealtiWeb File Number, but it is truncated to the first 10 characters. This can be overwritten. The Docket ID must be a unique set of 10 characters from any other of the Docket IDs previously associated to your Teranet® account.

If you change the Docket ID after performing your first search in a RealtiWeb file, this will create a new docket in Teranet because the Docket ID governs the billing. Best practice is to not change the Docket ID after performing a search in a file.

The Docket Name comes from your RealtiWeb re: line and is shortened to 50 characters. The Docket Name can be overwritten, but the 50-character limit remains.

Land Registry Office (LRO)

If you have already selected an LRO, it will be pre-populated.

Note: Make sure that the LRO corresponds with the subject property’s location.

Search Activity

After searching the title or a writ, the Search Activity screen will have a list of all the searches performed in the file. Click on the PDF icon to view any purchased PDFs.

Docket Summary

The Docket Summary provides an accounting summary of all charges associated with your current Docket ID.
