WillPowerWeb is designed for use in all common law provinces across Canada. When users log in, the application identifies the appropriate province based on the lawyer’s profile.
If you're signing in as the Super Admin or with Administrator rights, you may want to review the firm's information on file (Super Admins only), users who have access to your LDD account, and lawyers on the account.
To create a Will in WillPowerWeb, you should start by creating a new file, which can be done by performing the following step:
On the Main Screen, click on + Create New File in the Controls box.
The New File Creation window will appear. Enter information into all the required fields and press the Continue button in the top right corner of the screen.
The system will save the file and displays the information in the Client Info tab on the Basic screen. You can now add the rest of the information required to complete the Will and other documents.
In WillPowerWeb, you can prepare Wills using the standard Will templates, which can be modified to fit your needs, or using your own template. If you do not select a template for the Will, you will have to build the Will clause-by-clause, using the standard clauses included with the platform or your own Clause library. You can read more about Will templates and how to create your own here.
Powers of Attorney, Codicils, and all documents other than Wills can be customized to fit your needs by editing their respective master documents. You can read more about accessing, modifying, and creating master documents here.
