The body of RealtiWeb documents are made up of different clauses (also known as paragraphs). These clauses can be controlled with conditions and clause loops. You can easily see each new clause as the clause colours alternate between white and light blue.
Understanding how clauses work is critical to customizing documents in RealtiWeb. While this article deals exclusively with clause editing and fields in mapping, you can find additional information about Clause Properties, Conditions, and other document customization tips in the following articles:

Editing Clauses
Navigate to a master document, and double click on a clause to edit. You can amend text or remove/add fields. There are other basic editing functions, as shown in the screenshot below:
The function of each icon often matches the similar icon in Microsoft Word. Specific functions to highlight are:

Fields
Fields are in every RealtiWeb file and contain information specific to each file. These fields can be added to a document by clicking the
F icon (see screenshot above). Fields are grouped in the Field Library under headings. For example, the address of the new mortgage lender is under the ‘
New Mortgages ’ heading.
You can start typing in the filter box to search for a field, and then find it under the relevant heading.
Note: Certain fields in the mapping are only relevant to looped clauses or documents. These fields pertain to one item where there could be more of the same item. For example: any fields under Existing mortgage will only work if either the document or the clause is looped on Existing Mortgages.
Field Library
After clicking the F icon, the Field Library will open. Find the field to add into the document using the available search function or expanding the headings to see all available fields under the particular heading.
Note: Under the Lawyer Information heading is the information for the lawyer on file (in your firm).
Click on the field to start adding it to your document. A popup will open with various formatting options specific to the type of field selected. The options selected will indicate to RealtiWeb how the field information should be brought into the document upon generation.
Next, click Add to add the field into the document. Or click
Cancel to return to the list of fields.
After clicking a field, the popup with various formatting options will be displayed.

Checking this checkbox will insert "_" or "0.00" into the document, if the field is empty. This is explained below. |
Check if Blank Feature
When generating documents from within a RealtiWeb file, you may sometimes find that the document generates with blank fields and no explanation as to why it's missing words. This leads to the false assumption that there's a mistake in the document, when in actual fact, it's the RealtiWeb file that is missing data.
To fix this, we developed a new feature: the Check if Blank checkbox. This is found under the Field Format Options panel, which appears when inserting a field into a document. Mark the checkbox to insert the field as shown in the image below:
A document that is generated as such will load with "_" instead of loading with no data in the document. For monetary figures, the empty field will generate with "0.00". See the image below for an example:
