Changing your Location on Documents for Signing

Changing your Location on Documents for Signing

If your meeting location is different than your office location, you may need to change the city name.

To change your location, navigate to the Documents screen. Next, expand the Document Control Items. Change any relevant information, then generate your documents.

Client and Lawyer in Different Locations when Remote Signing Documents

For those using Realti for Ontario, Nova Scotia or Alberta real estate transactions, the Document Control Items includes a way to set the client's location when remote signing when the Remote Signing checkbox is checked.

After the Remote Signing checkbox is checked (it automatically is checked after the Client Portal is activated), follow these steps to set the client's location on your documents for Realti Alberta and Ontario.
  1. Check the Set Client Location checkbox.
  2. Enter the city/town and the province the client will be signing the documents in (similar as to when entering the location for the lawyer).

For those using Realti Nova Scotia, after the Remote Signing checkbox is checked, the location for the Affiant/Deponent Location will appear. Enter the city/town and the province the client will be signing the documents in (similar to when setting the location for the lawyer).
