Barristers’ Society Import (NS)

To maintain or update your firm’s Other Side Legal Representation database (a.k.a. the Other Side’s Lawyer database), import directly from the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society. Click the selector icon beside the Other Side Legal Representation name.

A popup window will appear with two options, searching your firm's database or bringing information from the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society into your file.

Bring in Lawyer Names from the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society

Follow the below steps to find a lawyer and add them into your file (and into your firm's database for next time).
  1. Enter the first and/or last name of the lawyer. (If it's a common name, adding the City or Company will reduce the returned results.)
  2. Click Search. The results from the search will appear.
  3. After finding the lawyer, click View Details next to the name to confirm it's the correct person. If it is, confirm by clicking Select This Lawyer.
  4. Click "OK" to finish adding the lawyer to your file.

To expand your firm's Other Side Legal Representation database, click Update List to add the lawyer into the database. This will allow yourself and others at your firm to add the lawyer to other files.

Search for a Lawyer (added previously)

Follow the below steps to add a lawyer to your RealtiWeb file that was previously added to your firm's Other Side Legal Representation database.
  1. Enter the lawyer's name.
  2. Click "Go". The results will return at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the lawyer by click on the name.

Note: Click "OK" for any changes to the lawyer entry to be updated in the RealtiWeb file. If you click Update List (updating in the database) and close the popup, the changes will not be in your file. For your changes to be reflected in the RealtiWeb file, you must click “OK” before closing the popup.

In addition, if you close the popup, Cancel, or Select Another your changes will be lost.
